    The proper maintenance of any chain drive requires proper lubrication.The wear and fatigue of the chain, the wear and corrosion of the sprocket, the inflexible link or the tight hinge are all related to lubrication. If the chain wears quickly, the pin shaft changes color, and the operation is not stable, it indicates that the chain is insufficiently lubricated.Under normal circumstances, the following lubricants are recommended: No. 200 oil for temperature 400-20C, No. 400 oil for 1000-30C, No. 1000 oil for 1200-40C, and No. 1200 oil for 1400-50C.Manual lubrication can be used.Brush or oil can for lubrication.Chains with shells should be lubricated with shallow oil or dripping oil.If the working temperature exceeds 3000C and cannot be lubricated with petroleum, it is more effective to use a solution of colloidal graphite dispersed in carbon tetrachloride or white kerosene.
